Western Australia - South / West Coast
I had no idea how absolutely breathtaking the bottom of WA is! It is utterly stunning and you MUST visit! It has been proven to have the whitest sand in Australia and I believe it because the striking white sand and perfect turquoise water at Lucky Bay took my breath away.
We flew into Perth, hired a car and road tripped inland to Wave Rock, then down to Cape Le Grand National Park, Albany, Denmark, Margaret River, Busselton, Rottnest Island, stayed one night in Perth, returned the hire car and flew out. It was less than two weeks, but it felt like we were away for two months! There was a lot of driving, thankfully our kids are happy little travellers (most of the time), there is also plenty to see along the way, so may pink lakes. The only thing we would do differently is stay longer on Rottnest Island, we absolutely loved everything about this adventure. Every day we would explore a new place and every day the kids would say ‘This is our favourite day ever’

We were on the island for a very short time, we walked to Pinky Beach and The Basin. We had enough time to also do lunch and grab a quokka selfie. It was such a short but very special day, we were even treated to a whale breaching on the ferry ride back to Fremantle.
