Freshly free from lockdowns, craving warmth and excited to take Maisie on her first overseas adventure. I couldn’t go past Bali, a short flight, reasonable prices, sunshine and the beautiful Balinese people. We also paid an absolute fortune to stay at ‘Villa Avanti’ and have never been so disappointed. One of the top rooms smelt terribly of curry, I dried reached upon arrival. ALL running water smelt of sewerage. The kitchen cupboards were disgusting, full of rubbish - including a dead lizard squashed in one of the kitchen cupboard doors, that had been there for some time. It was advertised as brand new, but was so incredibly dirty, especially in the bathrooms with thick black mould in many spots. Our check out time was 11am and I confirmed twice that we would be leaving at 11am, it was a private villa and we were looking forward to relaxing that morning. A cleaner and pool maintenance staff arrived at 9am which was incredibly awkward. They also scheduled pool maintenance at other times throughout our stay. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Nanny Annie completely blew my mind! I was certain I would never leave my children alone with anyone that wasn’t a grandparent or Aunty, but after a very short time I trusted and felt very at ease with Nanny Annie. She has a very fun, caring, helpful aura and and the kids grew very fond of her! She has the most infectious laugh and is all about letting kids be kids. She can help you relax by the pool at dinner or even take the kids to kids club to allow you some alone time. I can’t recommend enough!

Sammy is like meeting your Aussie mate in Bali, funny, kind and helpful. Maisie became his very best friend, imitating his laugh and never wanting to get out of the car. The best driver we have ever had in Bali!
